Milad Souri, PhD, PE

Staff Engineer

Milad Souri has joined GRI as a full-time staff engineer. Milad obtained his PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Portland State University. For his PhD research, Milad has analyzed a large amount of experimental data with an aim to develop design guidelines to estimate and combine inertial and kinematic demands on pile foundations in liquefiable soils. Milad brings his experience and knowledge in pile foundations and seismic engineering to the GRI team. He also has a background in advanced numerical modeling and will support GRI with numerical simulation modeling. He is responsible for completing subsurface investigations, laboratory testing, performing engineering analyses and modeling, and providing construction observation services.

Fesenjan! (An Iranian stew flavored with walnut and pomegranate paste!)

Favorite activity outside of work?
Playing FIFA on the PlayStation with my friends. You might say this is not an activity but we jump when we score!
