Milad is currently obtaining his PhD in Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering from Portland State University. For his PhD research, Milad has analyzed a large amount of experimental data with an aim to develop design guidelines to estimate and combine inertial and kinematic demands on pile foundations in liquefiable soils. He joined GRI in 2021 as part of the engineering staff team, and will bring his experience and knowledge in pile foundations and seismic engineering to the GRI team. He also has a background in advanced numerical modeling and will support GRI with FLAC3D modeling. He will be responsible for completing subsurface investigations, laboratory testing, performing engineering analyses and modeling, and providing construction observation services.
