Matthew Shanahan, PE, GE

Matt Shanahan has worked at GRI since 1993 as an intern and subsequently completed bachelors and masters degrees in civil and geotechnical engineering. As a principal, he is responsible for developing geotechnical investigations, overseeing geotechnical analysis, and meeting client goals. He has extensive experience in shallow and deep foundations, waterfront dock structures, seismic engineering, ground improvement, retaining structures, and slope stability. In the past 10 years Matt has managed on-call contracts for geotechnical services for WSDOT, Port of Vancouver, and Clark County.
