Logan McGinn
Staff Engineer
Logan joined GRI in 2023 after finishing his Masters of Science in Civil Engineering from Oregon State University. He completed his thesis on the seismic retrofit of column-footing substructures with consideration to the effects of soil-structure interaction, and also received accolade as the 2023 CCE Master Student of the Year at OSU. As an Engineering Staff team member, Logan is responsible for completing subsurface investigations, conducting laboratory testing of soil and rock, performing engineering analyses, and providing construction observation services.
What interests you most about geotechnical engineering?
The challenging and interesting subsurface conditions of the PNW.
Where is your hometown? How did it shape who you are today?
Syracuse, New York. The continuous snow and gloomy skies of Central NY facilitated the move to the West Coast.
Favorite activity outside of work?
Fly fishing!
