Project Engineer

Jose joined GRI in 2024 and has been a geotechnical engineer in Oregon, California, and Illinois for
over 10 years. As a Project Engineer, he is responsible for managing advanced field exploration programs, reporting, and engineering analyses. He has worked on a wide variety of public and private, commercial, and residential projects.

What interests you most about geotechnical engineering?
I particularly enjoy learning about local geology and solving geotechnical related challenges for various projects.

Where is your hometown? How did it shape who you are today?
I grew up in Mountain View, California. I like living on the west coast near my friends and family.

Pizza and chocolate ice cream!

Favorite activity outside of work?

I enjoy playing soccer with my son and friends.
