Principal

George received BS/MS degrees in Geology from California State University Northridge and joined GRI in 1993 after practicing in Washington, Nevada, and California. As a Principal Geologist, he specializes in characterization of soil and rock materials for environmental and geotechnical projects, while spending more and more time each year looking inward at the company to keep the lights on. More than anything, he appreciates and values the great people at GRI.

What is your favorite project completed at GRI?
Cascade Crossing Transmission Line.

What is your favorite thing about working at GRI?
Working alongside great people.

Favorite activity outside of work?
Sharing geological wonders with friends and family.

An interesting fact about yourself.
Morning of June 28, 1992, while camping in the California desert, some college friends and I were awakened by a rain of boulders loosened by the M7.3 Landers earthquake.  Don’t camp in a slot canyon!
