What is your favorite thing about working at GRI?
Geotechnical engineering appeals to me because it presents complex, real-world problems that rarely have a single clear solution. Each project is different, since soil conditions and site characteristics vary so much, which keeps the work engaging. I like that it requires both technical analysis and practical judgment, especially when working with something as variable as the natural ground.
What is your favorite project completed at GRI?
My favorite project would have to be Port of Vancouver, Terminal 1 king pile wall. You can’t beat working on the waterfront with great food nearby.
What is your favorite thing about working at GRI?
My favorite thing about working at GRI is how well the company is organized. There’s a clear structure and guidance in place, but at the same time, employees are trusted to take ownership of their work. It creates an environment where people can grow, and it’s clear that everyone is willing to step in and help each other when needed.
