Ana-Maria Coca, PhD

Pavement Engineering Staff

Ana-Maria joined GRI in 2022 after finishing her PhD in Civil Engineering at The University of Texas at Arlington. As a Staff Pavement Engineer, she is responsible for assisting in pavement design, evaluation, and management projects. She has extensive experience in Full Scale Accelerated Pavement Testing (APT) projects, field and laboratory testing for asphalt paving materials, asphalt recycled materials and teaching. During her doctoral studies, she has served as Instructor for the Civil Engineering Materials Laboratory and as a Research Assistant working on several projects funded by the Texas Department of Transportation, Tran-SET, and Louisiana State University. She is a published author and an active peer reviewer.

Sundubu Jigae – Korean spicy soft tofu stew

Favorite activity outside of work?:
I enjoy paddle-boarding, hiking, cooking, and flying my drone.

An interesting fact about yourself:
I am multilingual and I love roller coasters.
