ODOT, I-5 Rose Quarter Improvement Project

The purpose of this project is to provide safer and more reliable travel on Interstate 5 (I-5), and improve bicycle, pedestrian, and vehicle local access and safety within the Rose Quarter area. As presently envisioned, the project will include new auxiliary lanes and relocation of ramps on I-5; widened shoulders along I-5; removal, rehabilitation, and/or replacement of existing bridges over I-5; and potentially new cover structures over I-5 to improve local access and community spaces.

GRI is acting as the Owner’s representative to ODOT for this regional project and has been completing the roles as Consultant Project Manager for geotechnical, hazmat, and pavement services. In addition to the owner’s representative roles, GRI has evaluated five of the I-5 Bridges for seismic retrofits and completed an initial hazardous materials corridor study.
