Since our founding in1984, GRI has provided geotechnical engineering and environmental services for a broad range of complex and challenging projects in the Pacific Northwest, western U.S., and abroad.  The size, training, education, and deep experience of our staff allow GRI to provide services to public and private sectors across a wide range of markets.  This is well demonstrated by the numerous on-call contracts we have been awarded, which include several ports, cities, counties, Oregon Department of Transportation, Washington State Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration, utility districts, transportation districts, and other agencies. 

GRI opened our Vancouver, Washington, office in 2008 to better serve southwest Washington, including municipal, ports, energy, and industrial sectors.

GRI's participation often ranges from conceptual planning through construction.  As a result, our technical staff appreciate the importance of understanding the client's expectations, good communication, and providing innovative, constructable, and cost-effective solutions with a clear explanation of potential risks.   This approach to client service is applied to each assignment so that the right personnel and company resources are applied to each project.
