Senior Engineer
Seth Reddy joined GRI in 2014 following the completion of his PhD in Geotechnical Engineering at Oregon State University, where he focused on statistical data analysis for geotechnical applications and the development of advanced reliability-based design methodologies for deep foundations. As a Senior Engineer, he is responsible for procuring work and developing project scopes, collaborating with clients and design teams, and managing schedules and budgets for a variety of complex projects. He has worked on several large-scale projects in the building, transportation, aviation, industrial, and port and waterfront sectors with special emphasis on deep foundations and advanced laboratory and in-situ soil testing.
What interests you most about geotechnical engineering?
As a relatively young subdiscipline of civil engineering, the practice is still rapidly evolving and no two projects are alike.
What is your favorite thing about working at GRI?
The depth and breadth of institutional knowledge and the recognition of the importance of work life balance.
Where is your hometown? How did it shape who you are today?
Lincoln, Nebraska. It taught me the value of topography.
Favorite activity outside of work?
Moving fast in the mountains.
