Marissa Rauthause, PE
Marissa Rauthause joined GRI in January of 2018 after finishing her Masters in Geotechnical Engineering at Oregon State University. As a project engineer, she is responsible for developing exploration programs for subsurface characterization, conducting engineering analyses, and providing construction observation services for a variety of projects. Marissa works on a variety of projects throughout the Portland Area including Portland Public Schools, the Tigard-Tualatin School District, and the Oregon Zoo’s Polar Bear, Primate, and Rhino Project.
What interests you most about geotechnical engineering?
Being able to engineer systems that connect the natural and the man-made world.
What is your favorite project completed at GRI?
The Oregon State University Marine Studies Building in Newport, Oregon.
What is your favorite thing about working at GRI?
Getting the opportunity to work on complicated and interesting projects.
