What interests you most about geotechnical engineering?
Due to the variability and inconsistent properties of soil, geotechnical engineering requires level of judgement not found in other aspects of engineering.

Where is your hometown? How did it shape who you are today?
As a native Oregonian growing up in the Portland Metro area, I’ve seen the region grow over the years. As an engineer, I want to do my part in helping the area grow in a safe sustainable manner.

Favorite meal?
Brunch on the weekend is my favorite meal. I enjoy spending time in the kitchen behind the stove trying something new or whipping up a comfort-food favorite.

Favorite activity outside of work?
I enjoy spending time with my lady and our Norwegian Elkhound in the outdoors hiking and backpacking.
