Declan Schade joined GRI in June of 2019 after completing his master’s degree at the Colorado School of Mines. Declan’s graduate research focused on the influence of slope characteristics on debris flows in post-wildfire regions. As an engineering staff with a background in both geology and geotechnical engineering, he works under the close direction of a project engineer/geologist, senior engineer, or principal and is responsible for completing subsurface investigations, conducting laboratory testing of soil and rock, providing construction observation services, and engineering analyses.
