Caryn Martin joined GRI in March of 2018 after completing her master’s degree at the University of Wisconsin- Madison. Caryn’s master’s research focused on developing methods to accurately determine bentonite contents in calcareous soil for a mine waste contaminate site. As an engineering staff with a geology background, she works under the close direction of a project geologist, senior engineer, or principal and is responsible for completing subsurface investigations, conducting laboratory testing of soil and rock, providing construction observation services, and engineering analyses throughout Oregon and Washington.
