Blaine Wruck joined GRI in December of 2018 after completing his master’s degree at Oregon State University, where he studied asphalt pavement materials and transportation engineering. His research focused on laboratory and field performance evaluation of engineered tack coats under real-world construction conditions, life-cycle cost analysis of pavements with high recycled materials content, as well as durability testing of asphalt mixtures with aramid fibers. Blaine works under the direction of senior-level pavement design and pavement management staff on a variety of projects including pavement condition surveys for local roadways and airport facilities, FWD testing, analysis and design.
