Geotechnical Lab Coordinator

GRI is seeking a Geotechnical Lab Coordinator in our Beaverton, Oregon office. GRI’s lab is a full-service soil laboratory with many capabilities including but not limited to moisture contents, moisture/density relationship, gradation, Atterberg limits, hydrometer, incremental consolidation, constant rate of strain consolidation, triaxial compression, permeability, as well as monotonic and cyclic direct simple shear.

Primary responsibilities will include supporting our geotechnical projects by coordinating, tracking progress, QA/QC of lab testing results, maintaining sample inventory, and performing testing as available. Additional duties may include regular equipment maintenance, coordinating/scheduling calibration, as well as ordering laboratory consumables.

 General Requirements

  • Associates degree in related field (Bachelor of Science preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in soil laboratory or geotechnical related field
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to perform sustain physical activities including occasional lifting over 50 pounds

This position is expected to be 30-35 hours/week in-person. This is NOT a remote position. Full benefits are offered.
