GRI operates a full-service geotechnical testing laboratory in our Beaverton, Oregon, and Vancouver, Washington, offices. We routinely perform a wide range of laboratory testing, including consolidation, triaxial shear strength with pore pressure measurement, organic content, and direct shear testing. The unique blend of experience and education among our technical staff enables GRI to provide our clients with the required services to design and construct projects in a cost- and time-efficient manner. The senior staff have project experience in Oregon, Washington, California, Alaska, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Asia, and the Middle East. Nearly all of our technical staff have a master’s degree in geotechnical engineering or geology from a variety of schools, including Oregon State University, Georgia Tech, and Stanford. Our varied experience ranges from our volunteer work on the Fort-to-Sea Trail commemorating the bicentennial celebration of the Lewis & Clark expedition to a 30-story multi-use project in downtown Portland, a new highway through challenging mountainous terrain, a landslide repair in Montana, and a semiconductor facility in China. Many of our projects include geotechnical engineering during design, engineering geology, environmental consultation, and consultation during construction. In short, GRI can provide efficient geotechnical and environmental consultation for any project anywhere in the world.
