Dr. Meskele joined GRI as a staff engineer in April 2013 following the completion of his doctoral studies in Geotechnical Engineering at Oregon State University. For his PhD research, Dr. Meskele developed baseline guidance for engineering design of pipe ramming installations based on observation of actual production installations and a full-scale field experiment. At GRI, he works under the close direction of a senior engineer and is responsible for completing subsurface explorations, providing construction observation services, laboratory testing of soil and rock, and engineering analyses for a variety of projects involving geotechnical, foundation, and seismic design.
