Andrew joined GRI in the fall of 2016 after completing his PhD at Oregon State University. His research focused on the working stress behavior of mechanically stabilized earth walls and included three dimensional true triaxial testing and complex finite difference numerical modelling. As a member of the engineering staff, he works under the close direction of a project engineer or principal and is responsible for completing subsurface investigations, conducting laboratory testing of soil and rock, providing construction observation services, and engineering analyses.
