The unique blend of experience and education of our technical staff enables GRI to provide our clients with the required service to design and construct projects in a cost- and time-efficient manner. The senior staff have project experience in Oregon, Washington, California, Alaska, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Asia, and the Middle East. Ninety-five percent of our technical staff have a masters degree in geotechnical engineering or geology from a variety of schools including Oregon State, Virginia Tech, and Stanford. Our varied experience ranges from our volunteer work on the Fort-to-Sea Trail commemorating the bicentennial celebration of the Lewis & Clark expedition, to a 30-story multi-use project downtown, a new highway through challenging mountainous terrain, a landslide repair in Montana, or a semiconductor facility in China. Many of our projects include geotechnical engineering during design, engineering geology, environmental consultation, and consultation during construction. In short, GRI can provide efficient geotechnical and environmental consultation for any project anywhere in the world. More detailed information on our capabilities and experience can be accessed in the left column.
GRI operates a full-service geotechnical testing laboratory in our Beaverton, Oregon, office. We routinely perform a wide range of testing including consolidation, triaxial shear strength with pore pressure measurement, and direct shear testing.
